Softball Fields Take a Hit


Last week s andamp lt a href andamp quot http www kxnet com t tornadoandamp quot class andamp quot kxInlineLinkandamp quot andamp gt Tornadoandamp lt aandamp gt in andamp lt a href andamp quot http www kxnet com t dickinson-ndandamp quot class andamp quot kxInlineLinkandamp quot andamp gt Dickinsonandamp lt aandamp gt is still causing problems The softball diamonds on the south side of town suffered major damage during the storm Now Dickinson Parks and Recreation is busy rescheduling games and trying to figure out what to do with some upcoming men and women s state softball tournaments Recreation and Facilities Manager Kevin Klipfel says all of this week s games have been cancelled But he is hopeful things will come together by state tournament time Kevin Klipfel Dickinson Parks and Rec andamp quot The women s tournament is nine teams we found out this weekend So we are going to host that at the north complex which is just right across the street here and that is just a one day tournament Nine teams we can handle that real easy the men s tournament is 47 teams so we are hoping to know in the next week or two if we are going to be in the position to host that andamp quot Klipfel says 2 of the 6 diamonds faired ok through the storm He says diamonds 1 2 and three took the hardest hit
